Refund terms: Software Intellectual Property Destruction This AGREEMENT (the "Agreement") is made and entered into by and between Diskeeper Corporation, Inc., a California Corporation (hereinafter Diskeeper Corporation) and ||Customer|| (hereinafter Customer). The Customer agrees that the software was not received, or to take the necessary measures to delete and destroy the intellectual property described above and licensed to Customer for use under the terms of the Software License Agreement for the license or licenses purchased. Diskeeper Corporation shall refund the purchase price of the product to the Customer and report the product as "destroyed" or not received once the refund terms have been agreed to by the Customer and Diskeeper Corporation has reviewed and accepted the refund request. Customer acknowledges that any continued use of the software product would constitute willful copyright infringement for which customer may be liable for civil damages of up to $100,000.

Once you have done so, please follow these instructions to download and install Diskeeper:

1. Click the link to start the download.
2. When the File Download dialog box appears click the 'Save File' button.



Double click on the downloaded file.


Then select ‘Yes’ when you see this prompt and skip to step 3.



If you do not see the prompts above, your system may have additional security settings which could prompt you to Run or Save the file. Select ‘Run’ if you see the prompt below.



Then select ‘Run’ again.



3. Next you will need to set the DESTINATION for the Diskeeper installation files.



4. Choose a folder location and ‘Save’ the file to a known location on your computer, or keep the default location.

Default DownloadDestination for Windows XP is C:\My Documents\Diskeeper\
Default DownloadDestination for Windows Vista and 7 is C:\Users\Username\Diskeeper\

5. Wait for the file to download. When it is complete an Explorer window will open. Double click on the folder named Diskeeper (Product Name) Edition as shown below.


6. Double-click on the saved file to start the installation process. The filename should be Diskeeper2011_ProductName.exe (ProductName = Home, Professional, Pro Premier, Server)



If you do not have a .DAL file, then you should have received a 29 digit Product Activation Key with your purchase receipt. This key would also be in your Diskeeper account and can be used to activate your product during installation. If you have a .DAL file, you do not need to enter an activation key as it is built into your download.

7. Follow the prompts within the installer to complete the installation of Diskeeper.

• General Download Instructions:

• Delete your Internet Explorer Temporary Files:
  
  1. Quit Internet Explorer and quit any instances of Windows Explorer.
  2. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then open (double-click) Internet Options.
  3. On the General tab, click Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files.
  4. In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK.

  Try downloading your product. If this fails go to the next step below.
• If you continue experiencing problems with the download, please submit a support request with a screenshot of your desktop. This will help us assist you to get your product.

• You may not have an internet connection

Activating Diskeeper Manually

1. Once Diskeeper is installed, it should prompt for activation after it’s first opened.
2. From that activation pop-up, select the option to Activate Diskeeper Manually.
3. Clicking OK will take you to the screen below:
4. Highlight the code displayed and copy this to a document that can be saved to a USB thumb stick.
5. Take that USB thumb stick to a computer to has internet access and plug it in.
6. From this new machine, open Internet Explorer and go to http://www.diskeeper.com/activation/activate.aspx. That should open the page below:
7. 7. Next, open the document on that USB thumb stick, in order to retrieve the code and paste that code into the Step 1 field in the screen above.
8. Select the blue Process Activation button.
9. 9. After that, you should receive an even longer string in Step 3 (see example below):
   
10. Copy the code from Step 3 and paste it back to the USB thumb stick.
11. Now, taking the USB thumb stick back to the original system with Diskeeper, you can copy that newer code and past it into Step 3 of the Diskeeper Activation pop-up to activate your product.
