"I've deployed all of the Diskeeper licenses. They are installed on our backup to disk system which was upgraded at the beginning of May to new physical hardware. During the pre-build of the servers, we identified that we would need the additional Diskeeper EnterpriseServer license so while we processed the order I actually ran the additional EnterpriseServer in evaluation mode until we had purchased the full license.
That system backs up delta changes to files at the block level so the Backup-to-Disk data store does have in the region of 45 million files on 3 main servers with a total file storage of 7 TB.
I've checked the stats and in the last 24 hours Diskeeper’s Instant Defrag has prevented 8.5 Million fragments and has saved a total of 124 million disk I/Os. I am confident in saying that Diskeeper has improved the system performance.”

"Diskeeper has improved the performance quite a bit on the SQL servers it is installed on. One runs a Content Management package that serves up our Customer Utility Billing statements and allows customers to access their bills online from home. We were having performance problems with it because there are about 500 GB worth of documents that it manages and indexes. New files are added to it every day and old files are deleted from it each day. The disk was highly fragmented. Installing and running Diskeeper easily improved the overall performance by 25%.
Another server runs our ESRI GIS database (large maps with data attached to spacial points in a geodatabase). The database on this server is constantly growing and changing. Performance is always an issue with it. We've frequently run the SQL based file indexing function to improve performance. We noticed that the drives on it also were highly fragmented. Installing and running Diskeeper improved the overall performance by about 10% - enough to be noticable when pulling up a map.

The data we do have indicates that performance on all servers with Diskeeper installed is significantly increased. The fact that IntelliWrite stops fragmentation before it occurs means our servers are healthy from the starts, and that they maintain healthy fragmentation levels.
The perfect example, particularly in the case of Enterprise Server, is IntelliWrite working when we are transferring very large individual files. Enterprise Server deployments are reserved for servers that have volumes 20TB or larger. We have seen, when copying these large files (50-400GB) to the server one after the other, Diskeeper keeps those large files defragmented as it writes. We can do large backups using this technique and maintain less than 2% total volume fragmentation.

"The results are good. Most partitions saw a green light! Everything is good. Diskeeper sure makes our work a lot easier. We use automatic defrag and every week we get automatically an e-mail with a report where we can see the status. So yes, the defragmenter pays itself back.
We are using Diskeeper on Windows 2003 and 2008 servers. Prior to installing Diskeeper, most partitions on the server showed a red status, so that was not good. With Diskeeper deployed, that's history now.
