Welcome to the Diskeeper Blog

This blog will provide technical data and insights into performance and reliability issues surrounding file system performance. We hope to cover all topics related to system performance including defrag whether you are running SANs, NAS, workstations, servers, SSD's or other systems. We will provide interesting anecdotes, white papers, and related story topics on defragmentation and other performance issues. The blog is intended to be personal rather than a formal Diskeeper website. You will read personal viewpoints on our products and where we see the industry and our company going. We are excited to have this opportunity to share our product knowledge and insight, and hope this information helps you. We encourage your comments and look forward to you following this blog.

Vista RC1 support with Diskeeper beta software

by Michael 24. August 2006 14:17
You've likely heard the news that Vista is about to enter the Release Candidate (RC) stage within the next week or so (after the US Labor Day weekend). It is also supposed to be the next broadly available release since the "beta2" release a while back. While MSDN members (software developers) and select MS testers have had access to interim builds, RC1 is supposed to be available for everyone. The next Diskeeper beta for Vista won't occur until after RC1 is out and we've done the approriate testing on our end. My apologies on not having released supported betas for some of the more recent interim builds of Vista. I know I said that we would, but we've been caught up in the next Diskeeper release and unfortunately, haven't had the time.
